Patricia is the Founder and General Partner of Avila VC, an early-stage firm backing foundational companies arising from the massive technological, planetary and geopolitical shifts of our time. Prior to Avila, she co-founded and led a firm backing transformative companies, such as Commonwealth Fusion Systems, AtmosZero and Quaise Energy. Earlier, she worked at the $1.9B private equity fund Elevation Partners (Facebook, Yelp, etc.) and Tembo Capital.
Originally from Venezuela, Patricia graduated first in her class in Industrial Engineering from Universidad Simon Bolivar, earned an MBA as a Baker Scholar from Harvard Business School, and held roles at BCG, DLJ, and The Walt Disney Company. She actively mentors at Activate, Unreasonable Group, and Greentown Labs. She currently serves on Activate’s Leadership Advisory Council and mentors at Unreasonable Group, GreentownLabs, Third Derivative, Endeavor, among others.
Patricia lives in Golden Beach with her family and pandemic puppy.
